Each piece is made to order, hooked by hand after you place your order. Please allow up to 1 week for your item to be made and prepared for shipping. You'll receive a shipping notification with tracking as soon as it's on its way.
Orders ship from Holden, Massachusetts to addresses within the United States only. International shipping is not offered at this time.
All orders are sent via USPS, with several mail classes available at checkout so you can choose the speed that works for you. Tracking is included with every shipment.

Every shipment includes a USPS tracking number. Here's exactly when you'll receive it and how to follow your package from my hands to your door.
As soon as you check out on Etsy, you'll receive an order confirmation email. At this stage your piece hasn't shipped yet — it's been queued to be made by hand.
Your item is crocheted, finished, and carefully packaged. During this window your tracking number does not exist yet, because the package hasn't been handed to USPS — so links won't show movement until step 3.
When your package is handed to USPS, Etsy automatically emails you a "Your order has shipped" notification containing your USPS tracking number and a clickable tracking link. You can also find it any time under Purchases & reviews on your Etsy account.
Tap the link to follow your package in real time on USPS.com. Carrier scans can take up to 24 hours to appear after the shipping email, so don't worry if the link shows "label created" at first — your package is on its way.
No tracking email yet? If more than a week has passed since your order and you haven't received a shipping notification, reach out via Etsy messages — I'll check on your order right away. A "label created" status means the label is printed and the package is being prepared; it usually updates to "in transit" within one business day.
Can't find the shipping email? You can always look up your tracking number directly in your Etsy account. Here's how, step by step:
On a browser, go to etsy.com/your/purchases and sign in. (On the Etsy app, tap You, then Purchases & reviews.)
Find your Karla's Hooked by Heart order in the list and tap or click View order.
If your order has shipped, you'll see a tracking number and a "Track package" button next to it. Tap it to open live USPS tracking.
No tracking number there yet? That means your item is still being made — tracking appears automatically the moment the package is handed to USPS (see the timeline above).
It's completely normal for a tracking number to be missing during the first week after you order — your piece is still being made by hand. Here's what to check, in order:
Confirm less than 1 week has passed. Made-to-order items take up to 1 week to create before they're handed to USPS, so no tracking exists yet during this window.
Check your spam or promotions folder. Etsy's "Your order has shipped" email can land there. Search for Karla's Hooked by Heart or Etsy shipping.
Look for "Not shipped" status. In Purchases & reviews, if your order still shows "Not shipped" or a processing status, it simply hasn't reached the carrier yet — tracking will appear automatically the moment it does.
It's been over a week with no update? Send me a message through Etsy and I'll check on your order right away — sometimes carrier scans are delayed, and I can confirm where things stand.
It happens more often than you'd think — USPS sometimes scans a package as "delivered" a day or two early, or leaves it somewhere unexpected. Take these steps, in order:
Check around your property. Look on porches, in mailboxes, behind planters, and at side doors — carriers sometimes leave packages out of plain sight to keep them safe.
Ask household members and neighbors. A family member, roommate, or neighbor may have accepted the package for you. USPS may also have left a delivery notice with where to find it.
Wait 1–2 business days. "Delivered" scans can appear before the package reaches your door, especially during busy periods. Give it a little time before escalating.
